p.s.

oh, did I tell you I learned how to make jam? Yeah, that was actually the point of my last post. I went to a friends house (technically a friend of my mom...I mentioned her last time. S.) and she taught me how to make jam! We made Strawberry Rhubarb, and have been invited back to make blackberry as long as the girls and I pick the blackberries! I see doing this A LOT in my future. Not because it saves much in the end, but because I can do it. And I like being able to do stuff, make things myself; have I mentioned I am stubborn and determined? (That might be why starting again isn't so bad!)

Stubborn and determined are great qualities, especially when you end up with some strawberry rhubarb jam. Teaching the girls to be self-sufficient is a very good thing, too. You should be proud of yourself!

Yum! Homemade is best, that's for sure. I have a jar of blackberry jam that my DIL made - it is sooooo good. I'm afraid it won't last long.

Good for you Lisa. Homemade jam tastes better anyway. I love rhubarb too. Did you make it on the stove the traditional way? I sometimes make jam in the microwave - less mess! Don't invite me to pick blackberries - I'd probably eat them before they made it to the jam pot! Ann :-)

That sounds so good. Wish I knew how to make jam.
Sounds like fun. The girls will like berry picking.
